That sounds like an absolutely decadent dessert — a White German Chocolate Cake layered with Cheesecake. You’re talking about combining a moist white cake with coconut-pecan German chocolate frosting and a creamy cheesecake layer. Let’s bring it all together into one stunning dessert!

🍰 White German Chocolate Cheesecake Cake

This dessert is made of three parts:

  1. White cake layers

  2. Cheesecake layer

  3. German chocolate coconut-pecan frosting

🧂 Ingredients

🍰 White Cake (2 layers):
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar

  • 4 egg whites

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup whole milk

🍮 Cheesecake Layer:
  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🥥 German Chocolate Frosting:
  • 1 cup evaporated milk

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 large egg yolks

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups sweetened shredded coconut

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

🔪 Instructions

✅ Step 1: Make the Cheesecake Layer (Do This First)

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper and lightly grease the sides.

  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla.

  5. Pour into pan and bake for 40–45 minutes or until center is set.

  6. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight preferred).

✅ Step 2: Make the White Cake Layers

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Add egg whites one at a time, beating well.

  5. Mix in vanilla.

  6. Add flour mixture in thirds, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour.

  7. Divide batter evenly between pans and bake 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Cool completely.

✅ Step 3: Make the Coconut-Pecan Frosting

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, and butter.

  2. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 10–12 minutes).

  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, coconut, and pecans.

  4. Let cool to room temperature (it will thicken more as it cools).

✅ Step 4: Assemble the Cake

  1. Place one white cake layer on a serving plate.

  2. Spread a thin layer of coconut-pecan frosting.

  3. Gently place the cheesecake layer on top.

  4. Add the second white cake layer.

  5. Top with remaining coconut-pecan frosting.

  6. Optional: Decorate sides with whipped cream or more coconut.

🍽️ Tips:

  • Chill the assembled cake before slicing for cleaner cuts.

  • For easier stacking, level your cake and cheesecake layers with a serrated knife.

  • Want extra flair? Drizzle melted white chocolate over the top before serving.
