Posted on April 27, 2025

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Vanilla Custard Powder Cookies (Eggless) — buttery, melt-in-the-mouth, and super easy to make!

Eggless Vanilla Custard Powder Cookies

 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter (softened)

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)

  • 1/4 cup custard powder (vanilla flavor)

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional for extra flavor)

  • A pinch of salt

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the custard powder, vanilla extract, and mix well.

  4. Sift in the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Mix to form a soft dough. If it’s too dry, add 1-2 tsp of milk; if too sticky, a little flour.

  5. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 tbsp size), flatten gently with your fingers or a fork.

  6. Place on the tray, leaving space between cookies. Optional: Use a fork to press a criss-cross pattern on top.

  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges just begin to turn golden.

  8. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

 Tips:

  • Don’t overbake — they’ll firm up as they cool.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

  • You can add a bit of cardamom or nutmeg for a twist.
