Here’s a truly unforgettable Honey Garlic Chicken Breast recipe—juicy, sticky, sweet, and savory with a garlicky punch. It’s easy, fast, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or even date night.


🍯 Honey Garlic Chicken Breast

🕒 Time: 25–30 minutes

🍽️ Serves: 2–4


🍗 Ingredients:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut in half horizontally to make 4 thin cutlets)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (optional, for light crust)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

🔥 For the Sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)

  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:

    • Pat chicken dry. Season with salt and pepper.

    • Optional: Lightly dust each side with flour—this helps form a nice crust.

  2. Sear the Chicken:

    • Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add chicken cutlets and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

    • Remove from skillet and keep warm (tent with foil).

  3. Make the Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium.

    • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t let it brown).

    • Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).

    • Simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. Glaze the Chicken:

    • Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.

    • Cook 1–2 more minutes, flipping to fully coat in the glaze.

  5. Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped parsley, sesame seeds, or green onions.

    • Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed veggies.


💡 Pro Tips:

  • Don’t overcook the garlic—it can turn bitter.

  • For extra caramelization, finish the chicken under the broiler for 1–2 minutes.

  • Want it creamier? Stir in a tablespoon of butter or a splash of cream at the end.
