Ingredients:

  • 1-2 ripe tomatoes, sliced

  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: Lettuce (for added crunch), mustard (for extra flavor), or cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)


Instructions:

  1. Toast the Bread (optional):

    • If you like your sandwich with a little extra crunch, you can toast the bread lightly in a toaster or on a pan. This step is optional, but it adds a nice texture to the sandwich.

  2. Spread the Mayo:

    • Spread mayonnaise generously on one side of each slice of bread. If you like more mayo, feel free to add more! For extra flavor, you can even mix a bit of garlic powder, paprika, or hot sauce into the mayo before spreading it.

  3. Layer the Tomatoes:

    • Arrange the sliced tomatoes on one slice of the bread. Make sure to overlap the slices slightly to ensure every bite gets a good amount of tomato.

    • Season the tomatoes with a pinch of salt and a dash of black pepper. This helps bring out the flavor of the tomatoes.

  4. Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Place the other slice of bread (mayo side down) on top of the tomatoes.

    • Gently press down to secure the sandwich.
