Posted on September 19, 2025

You got it — here’s a creamy, rich, and super easy One-Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo recipe that goes from stovetop to table in under 30 minutes. No need to boil pasta separately. It all cooks in one pan — fewer dishes, more flavor!

🍤 One-Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

🕒 Time:

  • Prep: 10 minutes

  • Cook: 20 minutes

  • Total: ~30 minutes

  • Serves: 4

🧾 Ingredients:

Main:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on or off)

  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 ½ cups low-sodium chicken broth

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream (or half & half)

  • 8 oz uncooked fettuccine pasta (half a standard box)

  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for topping)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Optional garnish:

  • Fresh chopped parsley

  • Lemon zest or squeeze of lemon juice for brightness

🍳 Instructions:

1. Sear the Shrimp

  • Season shrimp with salt and pepper.

  • In a large skillet or deep sauté pan, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat.

  • Add shrimp and cook for about 1–2 minutes per side, until just pink and opaque. Remove and set aside (they’ll go back in later).

2. Build the Base

  • In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tbsp butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.

3. Cook the Pasta

  • Add uncooked fettuccine to the pan. Use tongs or a spoon to gently press it into the liquid.

  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Note: If the pasta sticks or the sauce reduces too quickly, add a splash more broth or cream.

4. Add Cheese & Shrimp

  • Once pasta is al dente, stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

  • Add cooked shrimp back to the pan and stir gently to combine.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes.

5. Serve

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.

  • Add lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon juice if desired (it brightens the rich sauce).

🔄 Substitutions & Tips:

  • No heavy cream? Use whole milk + a spoon of cream cheese.

  • Don’t have fettuccine? Use linguine, spaghetti, or penne — just adjust cooking time.

  • Want veggies? Add spinach, peas, or sautéed mushrooms before serving.

  • Gluten-free? Use GF pasta, but stir more frequently to prevent sticking.
