Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix (or any cake mix of your choice)

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs (optional, for a cheesecake crust effect)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare the base layer: In a baking dish (about 9×13 inches), spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom.

  3. Make the cheesecake filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture over the strawberry pie filling layer.

  4. Top with cake mix: Sprinkle the dry strawberry cake mix evenly over the cheesecake layer. Do not mix it in—just let the dry cake mix sit on top.

  5. Add melted butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix. This will create a crumbly, golden crust.

  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. You may need to check a little earlier to make sure it doesn’t over-bake.

  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.

You could top it off with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, or even some extra graham cracker crumbs for extra texture!
