Posted on September 25, 2025

Here’s a flavorful, easy twist on classic meatloaf using stovetop stuffing to add moisture, seasoning, and texture — making it extra tasty and quick to prep!

🍞🍖 Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or mix of beef and pork)

  • 1 box (6 oz) stovetop stuffing mix (any flavor, like chicken or herb)

  • 1 cup water (to prepare stuffing)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

🥣 Instructions:

1. Prepare the Stuffing:

  • Cook stuffing mix according to package instructions using the water (usually simmer stuffing mix in boiling water for a few minutes).

  • Let it cool slightly.

2. Mix Meatloaf:

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked stuffing, eggs, ketchup, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

  • Mix gently but thoroughly until combined.

3. Shape & Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.

  • Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top for glaze.

4. Bake:

  • Bake for 55–65 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans.

  • Leftovers make great sandwiches!

🔄 Variations:

  • Add shredded cheese inside the meatloaf for a melty surprise.

  • Mix in finely chopped bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies.

  • Use turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option.
