Posted on June 28, 2025
Here’s a mouthwatering Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs recipe — tender, sweet, savory, and perfectly sticky. You can make them in the oven, slow cooker, or even the grill with just a few simple ingredients.

🍯 STICKY HONEY GARLIC RIBS

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

For the Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium if preferred)

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional for depth)

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or ½ tsp ground ginger)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep & Cook the Ribs (Oven Method):

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (optional but recommended).

  3. Season ribs on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  4. Wrap ribs tightly in foil (shiny side in) and place on a baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

2. Make the Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, hoisin (if using), vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.

  2. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  3. Mix cornstarch with water, stir into the sauce, and simmer another 2–3 minutes until thickened and sticky.

  4. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Glaze & Broil:

  1. Once ribs are tender, carefully unwrap and discard foil.

  2. Brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.

  3. Place under the broiler for 5–7 minutes, or until caramelized and sticky. Watch closely to prevent burning.

  4. Let rest a few minutes, slice, and serve with extra sauce drizzled on top.

🍽️ Tips & Variations:

  • Slow Cooker Method: Cook seasoned ribs on low for 6–7 hours. Glaze with sauce and broil or grill to finish.

  • Grill Finish: After baking, brush with sauce and grill over medium heat for 5–10 minutes until sticky and charred.

  • Add a dash of chili flakes or sriracha if you like it spicy.

  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or cornbread.
