Ingredients:

For the steak and shrimp:

  • 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon – about 1 inch thick)

  • 8–12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

For the creamy garlic sauce:

  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup white wine or chicken broth (optional)

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for depth)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat


Instructions:

1. Season & Sear the Steaks:

  • Pat steaks dry, then season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare), depending on thickness. Adjust cook time to your preference.

  • Remove from pan and let rest under foil.

2. Cook the Shrimp:

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp butter.

  • Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  • Remove and set aside with the steaks.

3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • Lower heat to medium. Add a bit more butter if needed.

  • Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • (Optional) Deglaze the pan with wine or broth, scraping up brown bits.

  • Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Whisk in Parmesan and Dijon mustard (if using). Simmer until thickened (3–5 minutes).

  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.

4. Finish the Dish:

  • Return shrimp (and steak juices) to the pan to warm through.

  • Serve sauce and shrimp over the steaks or spooned alongside.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, garlic butter pasta, steamed vegetables, or crusty bread.
