Steak Bites with Garlic Butter

Posted on June 3, 2025

Here’s a sizzling, crowd-favorite recipe: Steak Bites with Garlic Butter—juicy, seared cubes of steak tossed in a rich, buttery garlic sauce. Fast, flavorful, and perfect for appetizers or dinner.

🥩 Steak Bites with Garlic Butter

🔥 What They Are:

Tender chunks of steak seared to perfection, then coated in a buttery garlic sauce with optional herbs and chili flakes for a simple but bold dish.

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper

  • 1–2 tbsp vegetable oil (for searing)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep the Steak:

  1. Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels (important for a good sear).

  2. Season generously with salt and pepper.

2. Sear:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet (cast iron is best) over medium-high heat until very hot.

  2. Add steak in a single layer (work in batches if needed).

  3. Sear for 1–2 minutes per side, turning once, until golden brown and medium-rare inside.

  4. Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.

3. Make Garlic Butter:

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

  2. Add butter, garlic, herbs (if using), and red pepper flakes.

  3. Stir for 1–2 minutes until garlic is fragrant but not browned.

4. Combine:

  1. Return steak bites to the skillet.

  2. Toss to coat in the garlic butter for 30 seconds.

  3. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

🍽️ Serve With:

  • Mashed potatoes or garlic butter rice

  • Roasted vegetables

  • Toothpicks for party bites

  • Crusty bread to soak up that butter

🧠 Tips:

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—it cools the skillet and ruins the sear.

  • For extra flavor, finish with a squeeze of lemon or a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
