Here’s a flavorful Steak and Shrimp Jerk Pasta recipe that brings the heat and Caribbean flair with a creamy twist. This dish combines tender steak, juicy shrimp, and jerk spices in a creamy pasta sauce. Perfect for a hearty dinner.


🔥 Steak and Shrimp Jerk Pasta

🧂 Ingredients

Proteins:

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1/2 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced

Seasoning & Marinade:

  • 2–3 tbsp jerk seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Pasta & Sauce:

  • 8 oz penne or fettuccine pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 onion, diced

  • 1 bell pepper (red or yellow), sliced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes (for extra heat)

Garnish:

  • Chopped parsley

  • Extra grated parmesan

  • Lime wedges (optional)


🔪 Instructions

1. Cook Pasta

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

2. Marinate Proteins

Toss the shrimp and steak separately with jerk seasoning, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

3. Cook Steak and Shrimp

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Sear steak slices for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove and set aside.

4. Make the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter.

  • Sauté onions, garlic, and bell peppers until soft.

  • Stir in cream, paprika, and a touch more jerk seasoning if desired.

  • Let simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  • Add parmesan cheese and stir until sauce thickens slightly.

5. Combine

  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce.

  • Toss in steak and shrimp.

  • Stir well to coat everything evenly. Simmer for 2 more minutes.

6. Serve

Garnish with parsley, extra parmesan, and lime wedges if using.


💡 Tips

  • For extra depth, add a splash of white wine before adding the cream.

  • Want it spicier? Use hot jerk seasoning or add scotch bonnet pepper (with caution).

  • Grilled proteins can enhance the smoky flavor.
