🌯 Steak and Cheese Dirty Fry Burritos (Serves 4)

🧾 Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb (450g) ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Dirty Fries:

  • 1 lb frozen French fries (or fresh, if you prefer)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon (optional)

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)

  • 1 tbsp hot sauce or buffalo sauce (optional)

  • Ranch or chipotle mayo (for drizzle)

For the Burritos:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito-size)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup salsa or pico de gallo

  • Extra shredded cheese for inside (optional)


🔥 Instructions

1. Cook the Fries

  • Bake or air fry your fries according to the package instructions until golden and crispy.

  • Once cooked, place them on a baking sheet, top with shredded cheese, bacon, and jalapeños, then broil for 2–3 minutes until melty and messy.

  • Drizzle with ranch or chipotle mayo and sprinkle green onions on top. Set aside.

2. Cook the Steak

  • Toss sliced steak in olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Sear in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until cooked to your liking. Set aside.

3. Warm the Tortillas

  • Warm each tortilla in a pan or microwave until soft and pliable.

4. Assemble the Burritos
Layer in the following order:

  1. A handful of lettuce

  2. A generous scoop of the steak

  3. A pile of dirty fries

  4. A spoon of sour cream

  5. A scoop of salsa/pico

  6. Extra cheese if you like things gooey

5. Roll & Toast

  • Roll the burritos tightly, tucking in the sides.

  • Optional: Toast in a hot pan seam-side down for 1–2 minutes to crisp the outside.


🧠 Tips & Add-ons:

  • Add caramelized onions or grilled peppers for extra flavor.

  • Swap steak for shredded chicken, ground beef, or even jackfruit for a vegetarian version.

  • For a spicy kick, drizzle with sriracha or add a spoonful of spicy queso.
