For the Turkey Wings:

  • 4–5 turkey wings, split at the joint

  • 2 tsp seasoned salt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Β½ tsp black pepper

  • Β½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive)

For the Gravy:

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)

  • 2 cups chicken or turkey broth

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 2 tbsp butter or oil

  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

1. Prep and Season Turkey Wings

  • Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

  • Clean and pat dry the turkey wings.

  • In a bowl, mix the seasonings and rub all over the wings.

  • Place the wings in a baking dish or roasting pan.

  • Drizzle with oil and toss to coat.

2. Bake Covered

  • Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until wings are tender.

3. Make the Gravy

  • While wings are baking, melt butter (or heat oil) in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Whisk in flour and cook for 2–3 minutes to make a light brown roux.

  • Slowly add broth and water, whisking until smooth.

  • Stir in sliced onions, bell pepper (if using), poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  • Simmer for 5–10 minutes until slightly thickened.

4. Smother the Wings

  • Remove foil from turkey wings and pour the gravy over them.

  • Return uncovered to the oven and bake for another 30–40 minutes, basting occasionally, until golden and the gravy is thick and bubbling.
