Hereโ€™s a cozy and hearty recipe for Slow Cooker Beef & Noodles, a comfort food classic made easy in the crockpot. Tender beef, savory broth, and egg noodles come together for a rich, satisfying dish thatโ€™s perfect for chilly evenings or busy weekdays.

๐Ÿ“ Ingredients (Serves 6)

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast (or stew meat)

  • 1 packet onion soup mix (or 1 tbsp beef bouillon + 1 tsp onion powder)

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery)

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2โ€“3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 cups beef broth

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 12 oz egg noodles (wide or homestyle)

  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley, black pepper, or a dollop of sour cream

1. Prep the Beef

  • If using a chuck roast, cut into large chunks. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Slow Cook the Beef

  • In your slow cooker, add:

    • Beef chunks

    • Onion soup mix

    • Cream of mushroom soup

    • Diced onion

    • Garlic

    • Worcestershire sauce

    • Beef broth

  • Cover and cook on:

    • Low for 8โ€“9 hours, or

    • High for 4โ€“5 hours

  • The beef should be fall-apart tender.

3. Shred the Beef

  • Once cooked, shred the beef directly in the slow cooker using two forks.

4. Add the Noodles

  • Stir in uncooked egg noodles.

  • Cover and cook on high for 20โ€“30 minutes, until noodles are tender. Stir once or twice during cooking.

5. Adjust & Serve

  • Stir well, taste, and adjust seasoning if needed.

  • Add a splash of extra broth if it thickens too much.

  • Serve hot, garnished with parsley or black pepper.
