Here’s a delicious and easy recipe for Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents — a crowd-pleasing appetizer or breakfast item made with just a few ingredients!


🥐 Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • Optional: 1/4 tsp garlic powder or onion powder

  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped green onions or jalapeños for extra flavor


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Cook the sausage:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until fully browned. Break it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess grease.

  3. Mix filling:
    In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese until well blended. Add optional seasonings or chopped green onions if using.

  4. Prepare crescents:
    Open crescent roll cans and separate into triangles.

  5. Fill & roll:
    Place about 1 tablespoon of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Roll up, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the tip. Tuck ends if desired to keep filling in.

  6. Bake:
    Place on baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  7. Cool slightly & serve:
    Let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm!

  • Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate for up to 1 day before baking.

  • Spicy twist: Use spicy sausage and add chopped jalapeños.

  • Mini version: Use crescent roll sheets, cut smaller squares, and make bite-sized pinwheels.

  • Dipping ideas: Ranch, marinara, or spicy mustard.
