Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents
Ingredients:
-
1 (8 oz) package of crescent roll dough (like Pillsbury)
-
1/2 pound breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or spicy — your choice)
-
4 oz cream cheese, softened
-
Optional: 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
Optional: 1/4 tsp garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Break it up into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
-
Combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese (and optional cheddar or seasonings) in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
-
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
-
Scoop about a tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
-
Roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end toward the point, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
Cool slightly before serving. They’re great warm or at room temperature.
Tips:
-
Make them ahead of time and reheat in a 300°F oven for 5–8 minutes.
-
Want a kick? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or use spicy sausage.
-
Mini version: Use crescent dough sheets, cut into smaller squares, and fold into mini bites.
