Here’s a classic, crowd-pleasing recipe for Sausage Balls — cheesy, savory bites that are perfect as an appetizer, snack, or brunch favorite. They’re easy to make with just a few ingredients and come out golden and delicious every time!

🧀 Classic Sausage Balls

Makes: ~24–30 balls | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 20–25 min

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage (mild or spicy)

  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1½ cups Bisquick (or any baking mix)

  • ¼ cup milk (optional, helps with moisture)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ½ tsp black pepper (optional)

🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

  2. Mix ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, combine sausage, shredded cheese, Bisquick, and any optional seasonings.

    • Add a little milk if mixture feels too dry.

    • Mix well by hand or with a stand mixer until fully combined.

  3. Form balls:

    • Roll into 1 to 1½-inch balls and place on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart.

  4. Bake:

    • Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Cool slightly & serve:

    • Let cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm with ranch, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

📝 Tips:

  • Use pre-cooked sausage crumbles for quicker prep, but the texture may be a bit different.

  • For a spicier kick, use hot sausage or add a pinch of cayenne.

  • Leftovers? Store in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
