1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)

1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count each)

Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper, chopped chives or green onion

1. Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.

Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
2. Mix the Filling

In a bowl, combine cooked sausage and softened cream cheese.

Add garlic powder, pepper, or green onion if using. Mix until smooth and creamy.
3. Prepare the Dough

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Unroll crescent dough and separate into individual triangles.
4. Fill and Roll

Place 1 heaping tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each crescent triangle.

Roll up, starting from the wide end toward the tip.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake

Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
