Praline Christmas Bark.

Posted on August 8, 2025

Here’s a festive and addictive treat: Praline Christmas Bark — crunchy, buttery, and sweet with rich caramel and nutty flavors. It’s super easy, great for gifting, and dangerously snackable!

🎄 Praline Christmas Bark

Ingredients:

  • 1 sleeve (about 40) saltine crackers (or graham crackers for a twist)

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1½ cups pecans, roughly chopped

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional topping: melted chocolate, sea salt, red/green sprinkles

Instructions:

1. Prep:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Line a rimmed baking sheet (10×15″) with parchment paper or foil, and spray lightly with nonstick spray.

2. Arrange Crackers:

  • Lay crackers in a single layer to cover the pan completely. You may need to break a few to fit.

3. Make Praline Topping:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together.

  • Bring to a gentle boil and let simmer for 3 minutes, stirring often.

  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, and chopped pecans.

4. Pour & Bake:

  • Carefully pour the hot praline mixture over the crackers.

  • Use a spatula to spread it evenly.

  • Bake in preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.

5. Cool & Finish:

  • Optional: While still warm, drizzle with melted chocolate or top with holiday sprinkles.

  • Allow to cool completely — either at room temp or refrigerate to speed it up.

  • Once firm, break into pieces.

Storage:

  • Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer shelf life.

Flavor Variations:

  • Swap pecans for almonds, walnuts, or cashews

  • Use dark brown sugar for deeper molasses flavor

  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for a holiday spice twist

  • For extra richness, add a white or dark chocolate layer after baking
