Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls are a crispy, cheesy, and savory twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. They’re perfect as an appetizer, party snack, or even a meal on their own!

Here’s a delicious and easy recipe to make them:

🧀 Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls Recipe

Makes: 8–10 egg rolls
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ribeye steak or sirloin, thinly sliced (or use shaved beef)

  • 1 small onion, finely diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, finely diced

  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped (optional)

  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese (or a mix)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 8–10 egg roll wrappers

  • Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)

  • Optional dipping sauces: Cheese sauce, ranch, spicy mayo, or ketchup

🔪 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Filling:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms until softened (about 5 minutes).

    • Add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and fully cooked (about 3–5 minutes).

    • Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in shredded cheese. Set aside.

  2. Assemble the Egg Rolls:

    • Lay out an egg roll wrapper with a corner facing you (like a diamond).

    • Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the filling near the bottom third of the wrapper.

    • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll up tightly.

    • Seal the edge with a bit of water or beaten egg.

  3. Fry the Egg Rolls:

    • Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

    • Fry egg rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.

    • Drain on paper towels.

  4. Serve:

    • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!

🔄 Variations:

  • Cheese Options: Use American cheese, Cheez Whiz (authentic to Philly), or even pepper jack for a spicy kick.

  • Bake Instead: Brush with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Air Fryer Friendly: Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
