Perfectly Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes

Posted on June 1, 2025
Here’s a simple and foolproof recipe for Perfectly Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes — golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and ready in under 25 minutes!

🥔✨ Perfectly Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2–4):

  • 1½ lbs (680g) baby potatoes or Yukon golds, cut into 1–1.5-inch pieces

  • 1½ tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary or parsley), grated Parmesan, or lemon zest for garnish

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the potatoes

  • Wash and dry potatoes thoroughly.

  • Cut into evenly sized chunks (bite-size = crispier).

  • Optional: Soak in cold water for 15–20 minutes, then dry well — this removes excess starch for extra crispiness.

2. Season

  • Toss potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

3. Preheat air fryer (optional but helps with crispiness)

  • Set to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

4. Air fry

  • Add potatoes in a single layer (work in batches if needed).

  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through.

5. Finish & serve

  • When golden and crispy, remove and toss with fresh herbs, Parmesan, or a sprinkle of lemon zest if desired.

  • Serve immediately.

✅ Tips for Best Results:

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket — space = crispiness.

  • Adjust time for your air fryer model and potato size.

  • Add a squeeze of lemon or dip in aioli, ranch, or spicy mayo.
