Orange Push Pop Pudding

Posted on August 1, 2025

Orange Push Pop Pudding is a nostalgic, creamy dessert inspired by those classic orange Creamsicle-style push pops from childhood. It combines sweet citrus and vanilla flavors in a smooth pudding, often layered or served in clear cups (or even actual push pop molds, if you have them).

🍊 Orange Push Pop Pudding – Creamsicle-Inspired Dessert

🥣 Ingredients:

For the Orange Layer:

  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1½ cups cold milk

  • 1 cup orange juice (fresh or from concentrate)

  • Zest of ½ an orange (optional, for extra flavor)

  • A few drops of orange food coloring (optional, for that bright push-pop look)

For the Cream Layer:

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip) or homemade whipped cream

  • ½ cup vanilla yogurt, sour cream, or additional pudding

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🔧 Instructions:

  1. Make the Orange Pudding:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix, milk, and orange juice.

    • Add orange zest and food coloring, if using.

    • Chill for 5–10 minutes until thickened.

  2. Make the Cream Layer:

    • In a separate bowl, mix whipped topping with yogurt (or more pudding) and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.

  3. Assemble:

    • In clear cups, layer orange pudding and cream mixture alternately.

    • Optional: Swirl slightly with a toothpick for a marbled look.

  4. Chill & Serve:

    • Let set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

    • Top with orange sprinkles, whipped cream, or a mini orange slice if desired.

🧊 Optional Presentation Ideas:

  • Serve in push pop molds (if available) for a fun retro look.

  • Freeze slightly to make a creamsicle pudding pop.

  • Use orange gelatin (Jell-O) for a firmer base layer if layering with pudding.
