No-Knead Bread.

Posted on August 28, 2025

Absolutely! Here’s a classic and incredibly easy recipe for No-Knead Bread — a crusty, artisan-style loaf with a soft, chewy interior that requires minimal effort and no kneading. Just mix, rest, and bake!

🍞 No-Knead Artisan Bread

🕒

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes

  • Rest Time: 12–18 hours (overnight)

  • Bake Time: 45 minutes

🍽️ Makes: 1 round loaf (~8 servings)

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose or bread flour

  • 1 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp instant yeast (or active dry yeast)

  • 1 1/2 cups (360ml) room-temperature water

  • Optional: 1 tsp sugar or honey for a touch of sweetness

  • Optional: Cornmeal or flour for dusting

🥣 Instructions:

1. Mix the Dough:

  • In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, and yeast.

  • Add the water and stir until a shaggy, sticky dough forms.

  • Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a plate and let it rest at room temperature (around 70°F/21°C) for 12–18 hours.

2. Shape the Dough:

  • After resting, the dough should be bubbly and doubled in size.

  • Lightly flour a surface and your hands. Turn the dough out and shape it gently into a ball. Do not knead.

  • Let it rest for 30–60 minutes, covered with a towel.

3. Preheat the Oven & Dutch Oven:

  • Place a Dutch oven (with lid) into your oven and preheat to 450°F (230°C) for at least 30 minutes.

4. Bake:

  • Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven.

  • Place dough onto parchment paper (optional for easy lifting) and lower into the pot.

  • Cover with lid and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove lid and bake for another 10–15 minutes until golden brown and crisp.

5. Cool:

  • Remove bread from Dutch oven and let cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

🔄 Variations & Add-ins:

  • Garlic & Rosemary: Add minced garlic and chopped rosemary before resting.

  • Cheddar & Jalapeño: Fold in shredded cheese and sliced jalapeños.

  • Whole Wheat: Use 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour + 1 ½ cups all-purpose.

  • Seeds or Nuts: Add sunflower seeds, flax, or walnuts for texture.

✅ Tips:

  • Use a heavy cast iron or enameled Dutch oven for best results.

  • Want it faster? Try a “quick” no-knead version with more yeast and a shorter rise — just ask!
