Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnuts (about 6-8 doughnuts)
  • 4-5 fresh or frozen peaches, peeled and sliced (about 4 cups)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional, but adds great flavor)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (to thicken the peach filling)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup milk (any type will do)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for extra flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the peaches:
    If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them into thin wedges. If using frozen, just thaw them slightly and drain any excess liquid. Place the peaches in a large bowl.

  2. Make the peach filling:
    In the bowl with the peaches, add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Toss the peaches until they are well coated. The cornstarch will help thicken the juices as it bakes, creating that luscious peach cobbler filling.

  3. Prep the doughnuts:
