🥩 Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce

🍖 Ingredients – For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1 to 1.5 inches thick)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 2–3 garlic cloves (smashed)

🧄 Ingredients – For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ¼ cup beef broth (or chicken broth)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard or a splash of Worcestershire sauce

  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)


🔥 Instructions:

1. Prep the Steaks

  • Bring steaks to room temperature for even cooking.

  • Pat dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

2. Sear the Steaks

  • Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy pan over high heat.

  • Add olive oil and let it get hot.

  • Sear steaks for 2–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness and doneness).

  • Add butter and smashed garlic to the pan in the last minute, basting the steaks.

  • Remove and let rest under foil for 5–10 minutes.

3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • In the same pan (don’t wipe it out), reduce heat to medium.

  • Add 1 tbsp butter, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

  • Stir in beef broth and scrape up any browned bits.

  • Add heavy cream, Parmesan, and optional Dijon/Worcestershire.

  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Serve

  • Slice steak and spoon the creamy garlic sauce over the top.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley.


🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or garlic butter green beans

  • A side of crusty bread to mop up the sauce
