Posted on September 19, 2025

Here’s a sweet and savory side dish that’s quick, easy, and always a hit: Honey Butter Skillet Corn! It’s creamy, buttery, and just a little sweet — perfect for holidays, potlucks, or any dinner in need of a comforting side.

🌽 Honey Butter Skillet Corn

🍽️ Servings: 4–6

⏱️ Time: 15 minutes total

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 (16 oz) bag frozen corn (or 2 ½ cups fresh or canned, drained)

  • 2 oz cream cheese (about ¼ block)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: pinch of paprika or chili flakes for a subtle kick

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Melt butter & honey

    • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and honey together until smooth and bubbling.

  2. Add the corn

    • Stir in the corn (frozen is fine straight from the bag) and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly golden.

  3. Add cream cheese

    • Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy and glossy.

  4. Season & serve

    • Add salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, sprinkle with paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor.

✅ Tips & Variations:

  • Make it spicy: Add diced jalapeño or a dash of cayenne.

  • Add herbs: Finish with chopped parsley, green onions, or thyme for freshness.

  • Use canned corn: Just drain it well before adding (no need to cook as long).

  • Double it for a potluck or holiday crowd — it scales up beautifully!
