  • 3/4 cup ketchup

  • 1/4 cup water (or beef broth for extra flavor)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

To Serve:

  • Hamburger buns, toasted

  • Optional: cheese slices, pickles, or coleslaw for topping

1. Brown the Meat

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks (5–7 minutes).

  • Drain excess fat if needed.

2. SautΓ© Veggies

  • Add chopped onion and bell pepper to the meat. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.

  • Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more.

3. Add the Sauce

  • Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire, brown sugar, mustard, and water.
