Ingredients:

1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped (optional)

2 cloves garlic, minced

3/4 cup ketchup

1 tbsp tomato paste (optional for richness)

2 tsp yellow mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp brown sugar
-
Salt and black pepper to taste

Burger buns (toasted)

Optional toppings: pickles, shredded cheese, coleslaw
Instructions:

Cook the beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed. -
Add vegetables:
Stir in onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3β4 minutes until softened. -
Add sauce ingredients:
Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, mustard, Worcestershire, and brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper. -
Simmer:
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 8β10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens. -
Serve:
Spoon over toasted buns and serve hot!
