Here’s a Homemade Pepperoni Pizza recipe that delivers crispy crust, gooey cheese, and spicy, curling pepperoni—just like a great pizzeria pie, but made in your kitchen.


🍕 Homemade Pepperoni Pizza

🍽️ Serves: 2–4

⏰ Total Time: ~1.5 hours (includes dough rising)

🔥 Bake Temp: 475°F (245°C)


🍞 Dough (or use store-bought)

Ingredients (for one 12–14 inch pizza):

  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit 5–10 min until foamy.

  2. Mix in flour and salt. Knead until smooth (8–10 minutes).

  3. Drizzle bowl with oil, place dough in, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).


🍅 Sauce

Simple Pizza Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes or tomato passata

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Pinch of sugar (optional)

  • Drizzle of olive oil

Mix everything in a bowl—no cooking needed.


🧀 Toppings

  • 1–1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 15–20 slices of pepperoni (regular or spicy)

  • Optional: Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or fresh basil


👨‍🍳 Assembly & Baking

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now.

  2. Roll Out Dough
    On a floured surface, stretch or roll the dough into a 12–14 inch round. Transfer to parchment paper or a lightly oiled baking sheet/pizza pan.

  3. Add Sauce & Toppings
    Spread a thin layer of sauce over the dough. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella. Top with pepperoni slices.

  4. Bake
    Slide onto the preheated stone or place in the oven. Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and browned.

  5. Serve
    Let rest 2–3 minutes. Slice and enjoy!


✅ Tips & Variations

  • Extra crispiness? Brush crust with olive oil before baking.

  • Pepperoni cups: Use deli-style, thicker-cut pepperoni for those curled, crispy edges.

  • Spicy version: Add a pinch of chili flakes to the sauce or top with hot honey.

  • Shortcut: Use pre-made dough and jarred sauce for a faster version.
