🍽️ Ground Beef and Gravy Over Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
For the Ground Beef and Gravy:

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons flour

2 cups beef broth (or use bouillon + water)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 1/2 tsp thyme or parsley for added flavor

Optional: mushrooms (sautéed), peas, or corn
For the Mashed Potatoes:

2 lbs (about 4–5 medium) potatoes, peeled and chopped

4 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup milk (or cream, to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste
🥣 Instructions:
1. Make Mashed Potatoes:

Boil chopped potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 15–20 minutes).

Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Keep warm.
2. Cook the Beef:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onions until browned.

Add garlic and cook another 1–2 minutes.

Drain any excess grease.
3. Make the Gravy:

Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir well to coat evenly.

Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove raw flour taste.

Slowly stir in beef broth, breaking up any lumps.

Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and herbs if using.

Simmer for 5–8 minutes until thickened into a rich gravy.
4. Serve:

Spoon creamy mashed potatoes onto plates or bowls.

Ladle hot beef and gravy over the top.
