๐ฅ Golden Puff Pastry Beef Rolls
๐งบ Ingredients (Makes about 10โ12 rolls):

500 g (1 lb) ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small carrot, grated (optional for moisture and flavor)

1 egg (for the meat mixture)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tbsp tomato paste or ketchup
-
1 tsp dried oregano or mixed herbs

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 sheets of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)

Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, grated carrot, 1 egg, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined. -
Assemble the rolls

Cut each puff pastry sheet into 2 or 3 long strips (depending on the size).

Spoon a line of the beef mixture along one edge of each strip.

Roll up tightly, sealing the edge with a bit of beaten egg.

Cut & brush

Slice each roll into smaller pieces (about 5โ6 cm / 2 inches long).

Place on the baking tray seam-side down.

Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.

Bake for 20โ25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden and the meat is cooked through. -
Serve
Let cool slightly before serving. Delicious with ketchup, mustard, or a spicy tomato chutney.
