Garlic Cheese Fingers.

Garlic Cheese Fingers are a delicious, cheesy, garlicky snack or side dish—kind of like cheesy breadsticks but with a softer, more pizza-like base. They’re perfect for dipping in marinara, ranch, or garlic butter, and they’re incredibly easy to make at home with just a few ingredients.


🧄🧀 Garlic Cheese Fingers

Ingredients:

For the dough (or use store-bought pizza dough):

  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 3/4 cup warm water (about 110°F / 45°C)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the garlic butter topping:

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

For the cheese:

  • 1 1/2 – 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)


🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Make the Dough (Skip if using premade)

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.

  3. Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes, or until doubled in size.

2. Prepare the Garlic Butter

  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

3. Assemble the Cheese Fingers

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Roll out dough into a rectangle or circle (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick) and place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza pan.

  3. Brush generously with garlic butter.

  4. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.

5. Slice into Fingers

  • Let cool slightly, then slice into strips or “fingers” using a pizza cutter.

6. Serve

  • Serve warm with marinara sauce, ranch, or extra garlic butter for dipping.


🧄 Optional Add-Ins:

  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for heat.

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chopped green onions before serving.

  • Mix a little cream cheese into the cheese layer for extra gooeyness.
