GARLIC BUTTER LOBSTER AND SCALLOPS

Garlic butter lobster and scallops is a delicious and indulgent dish that combines succulent seafood with a rich, savory garlic butter sauce. Here’s a recipe to make this dish at home:

Ingredients:

  • For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
    • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
    • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 tablespoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • For the Seafood:
    • 2 lobster tails (shelled and cut into pieces if desired)
    • 8-10 large sea scallops (peeled and deveined)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil or additional butter for searing

Instructions:

1. Prepare the garlic butter sauce:

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant (be careful not to burn the garlic).
  • Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese (if using). Set aside.

2. Cook the seafood:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil or butter.
  • Season the lobster tails and scallops with a little salt and pepper.
  • First, add the lobster tail pieces to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning them to cook evenly, until they turn opaque and are cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Next, add the scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and opaque in the center. Remove them from the pan and set aside.

3. Combine and Serve:

  • Return the cooked lobster and scallops to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce.
  • Toss to coat the seafood in the buttery sauce and heat everything through for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with additional fresh parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.

4. Serve:

  • Serve the garlic butter lobster and scallops over pasta, rice, or with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce!
