🍗 Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (light or dark)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Season the chicken:

    • Pat dry and sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using.

  3. Sear the chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.

    • Add chicken and sear 2–3 minutes per side until golden (doesn’t need to be cooked through). Remove from pan.

  4. Make the garlic brown sugar glaze:

    • In the same pan, lower heat and add butter (if using).

    • Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

    • Stir in brown sugar until melted into a thick glaze (about 1 minute).

  5. Return chicken to pan:

    • Spoon glaze over the chicken. Transfer pan to oven.

  6. Bake:

    • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F internal temp.

    • Baste with glaze halfway through if desired.

  7. Serve hot, spooning extra glaze over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley.
