👩🍳 Instructions
1. Prep the Shrimp
-
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
-
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
2. Set Up a Breading Station
-
Bowl 1: Flour + salt, pepper, and optional spices
-
Bowl 2: Beaten eggs
-
Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs or panko
3. Bread the Shrimp
-
Dredge each shrimp in flour, then dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
-
Place on a tray until ready to fry.
4. Fry the Shrimp
-
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
-
Fry shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
5. Serve
-
Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
💡 Tips
-
Don’t overcrowd the pan—shrimp need space to fry evenly.
-
For extra crispy coating, double-dip: egg → flour → egg → breadcrumbs.
-
Use panko instead of regular breadcrumbs for lighter, crunchier shrimp.
