FRESH PICO DE GALLO

Fresh Pico de Gallo? Yes! It’s a vibrant, fresh Mexican salsa made from chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeños — perfect as a dip, topping, or side.

Here’s a classic, no-cook recipe:


🍅🌶️ Fresh Pico de Gallo (Salsa Fresca)

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, finely diced (Roma tomatoes work great)

  • 1 small white onion, finely chopped

  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced (adjust to taste)

  • ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • Salt to taste


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, and cilantro.

  2. Squeeze lime juice over the mixture.

  3. Add salt to taste and stir well.

  4. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to let flavors meld.

  5. Serve fresh with tortilla chips, tacos, grilled meats, or eggs!


Tips:

  • For less heat, remove all seeds from jalapeños or substitute with milder peppers.

  • Use fresh lime juice—bottled doesn’t quite have the same zing.

  • You can add a small minced garlic clove for an extra punch.
