Egg Salad Sandwich

Here’s a classic Egg Salad Sandwich recipe — quick, creamy, and satisfying:


🥪 Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp yellow mustard (optional, for tang)

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped celery (optional, for crunch)

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion or green onion (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, rye – your choice)

  • Lettuce or spinach (optional, for freshness)


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Boil the Eggs:

    • Place eggs in a pot and cover with water.

    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

    • Transfer eggs to an ice bath or run under cold water to cool.

  2. Peel and Chop:

    • Peel the eggs once cooled.

    • Chop them roughly or mash with a fork, depending on your preferred texture.

  3. Make the Egg Salad:

    • In a bowl, combine chopped eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, celery, and onion (if using).

    • Mix until well combined.

    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Toast bread if desired.

    • Spoon egg salad onto a slice of bread.

    • Add lettuce/spinach if using.

    • Top with the second slice of bread.
