Here’s a super easy sandwich bread recipe — no fancy equipment needed, just basic ingredients and a little patience!


🍞 Easy Sandwich Bread (No-Knead Option)

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour for more chew)

  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • ¼ cup milk (or water for dairy-free)

  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter


Instructions:

  1. Mix the dough:

    • In a large bowl, combine warm water, milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

    • Add flour, salt, and oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.

  2. Knead (or not):

    • No-knead method: Just mix until combined and sticky. Let rise longer (see step 3).

    • Kneaded method: Knead by hand or with a mixer for 5–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  3. Let it rise:

    • Cover the bowl and let dough rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1½ hours, or until doubled in size.

  4. Shape and second rise:

    • Punch down dough and shape into a log.

    • Place in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.

    • Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes, until puffy and just above the rim.

  5. Bake:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

    • Optional: Brush top with butter after baking for a soft crust.

  6. Cool:

    • Let cool completely before slicing for clean cuts.
