Dorito Taco Salad.

Oh yes! Dorito Taco Salad is a crunchy, cheesy, and super satisfying dish that’s a crowd-pleaser — easy to throw together and perfect for lunch or dinner.


🌮 Dorito Taco Salad

🕒 Total Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)

  • 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos (about 9.75 oz)

  • 6 cups chopped lettuce (iceberg, romaine, or a mix)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • 1/2 cup diced red onion

  • 1 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh, frozen thawed, or canned)

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Mexican crema

  • 1/2 cup salsa or pico de gallo

  • Optional: sliced jalapeños, avocado, cilantro


Instructions:

1. Cook the Beef:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

  • Add taco seasoning and about 1/4 cup water (or per seasoning packet instructions). Simmer until thickened and flavorful.

2. Assemble the Salad:

  • In a large bowl or individual bowls, layer chopped lettuce, beans, corn, tomatoes, olives, and onions.

  • Crumble about half the bag of Doritos over the salad.

  • Add the cooked taco meat on top.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over everything.

3. Add Toppings:

  • Dollop sour cream and spoon salsa or pico de gallo over the salad.

  • Add optional toppings like jalapeños, avocado slices, or fresh cilantro.

4. Serve:

  • Serve immediately so the Doritos stay crunchy! You can also serve with extra Doritos on the side.


Tips:

  • For a healthier twist, use baked Doritos or tortilla chips.

  • Add chopped bell peppers or radishes for extra crunch and color.

  • Want it vegetarian? Swap beef for seasoned black beans or lentils.
