Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

Here’s an easy, family-friendly comfort dish: Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna — all the cheesy, saucy goodness of lasagna, but made in your slow cooker using frozen ravioli!


🧀 Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

🍝 Ingredients:

  • 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese or meat ravioli (no need to thaw)

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage (or a mix)

  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara or pasta sauce

  • 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese (optional, for creaminess)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish


🔪 Instructions:

1. Cook the Meat

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or sausage until browned.

  • Drain excess grease.

  • Stir in marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt & pepper.

2. Layer in the Crockpot

In a greased slow cooker (6 qt or similar):

  1. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom.

  2. Add a single layer of frozen ravioli.

  3. Spoon over some of the meat sauce.

  4. Add dollops of ricotta (if using), then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.

  5. Repeat the layers (ravioli → sauce → cheeses) until everything is used, ending with sauce and cheese on top.

3. Cook

  • Low: 4–5 hours

  • High: 2½–3 hours

  • Ravioli should be tender and cheese melted and bubbly.

4. Let Rest

  • Turn off heat and let sit uncovered for 10–15 minutes to firm up before slicing.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with chopped parsley or basil.

  • Pair with garlic bread and a green salad.


🔁 Variations:

  • Veggie version: Add spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini between layers.

  • Spicy: Use hot Italian sausage and add crushed red pepper to the sauce.

  • Meat lovers: Use beef AND sausage and top with extra Parmesan.
