Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles Recipe

Posted on February 1, 2025

Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles is a comforting, hearty dish that’s easy to make with minimal effort. The beef gets tender and flavorful as it cooks all day, and when combined with soft noodles, it’s the perfect meal. Here’s a simple recipe to make it in your crockpot:

Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 to 2 lbs beef stew meat or beef tips (cubed)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup)
  • 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth (or water, if preferred)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for browning beef)
  • 3 cups egg noodles (uncooked)

Instructions:

1. Brown the Beef (Optional, but recommended):

  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat and cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned on all sides. This step helps enhance the flavor, but if you’re short on time, you can skip it and just add the beef directly to the crockpot.

2. Prepare the Crockpot:

  • In the slow cooker, combine the browned beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

3. Slow Cook the Beef:

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded together.

4. Add the Noodles:

  • About 30 minutes before you’re ready to serve, stir in the uncooked egg noodles. Cover and continue to cook on high for 30 minutes, or until the noodles are cooked through and tender.

5. Serve:

  • Once the noodles are soft and the beef is tender, give everything a good stir and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve the beef tips and noodles hot, and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Make it creamier: You can add a bit of sour cream or heavy cream at the end for a richer texture if you’d like.
  • Vegetable addition: Feel free to add some vegetables like carrots, peas, or mushrooms for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Thickening the sauce: If the sauce is too thin after cooking, you can thicken it by mixing a tablespoon of cornstarch with a bit of cold water, then stir it into the sauce and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Storage:

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. This dish also freezes well—just let it cool completely before transferring to a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. When reheating, you may need to add a splash of broth to loosen up the sauce.

This Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles is the ultimate comfort food, and the slow cooking really helps to bring out the flavors. Enjoy! Let me know if you’d like more variations or any other recipes.
