Crispy Roasted Cauliflower recipe

Posted on January 31, 2025

Crispy Roasted Cauliflower is such a delicious, healthy side dish! It’s super easy to make and packed with flavor. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Crispy Roasted Cauliflower

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional, for finishing)
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for a nice crispy finish.
  2. Prepare the cauliflower:
    • Cut the cauliflower into even-sized florets, making sure they’re not too large so they cook evenly.
  3. Season the cauliflower:
    • In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure each piece is well-coated.
  4. Roast the cauliflower:
    • Spread the cauliflower florets in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the pan. If needed, use two baking sheets.
  5. Roast:
    • Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping the cauliflower halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges. The high heat will give them that great crisp texture.
  6. Optional finishing touches:
    • If you’re using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it on top of the cauliflower during the last 5 minutes of roasting, so it melts and becomes golden.
    • Once out of the oven, drizzle with fresh lemon juice for a bit of brightness, and sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro if you like.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve warm as a side dish, snack, or even add it to a grain bowl for a healthy meal!

Tips:

  • For extra crispy cauliflower, you can lightly sprinkle a bit of cornstarch on the florets before roasting.
  • If you want to add a little kick, you can also sprinkle some red pepper flakes or chili powder.

This cauliflower is crispy, flavorful, and so versatile—it’s a great side for pretty much any meal. Let me know how it turns out or if you’re thinking of adding any fun spices!
