Crispy Roasted Cauliflower is a simple, flavorful side dish that’s perfect for any meal. Roasting cauliflower at a high temperature gives it that delicious crispy texture, and the seasoning adds a nice depth of flavor. Here’s an easy recipe to make your cauliflower crispy and tasty:

Crispy Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • ½ tsp ground cumin (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the cauliflower:
    • Cut the cauliflower into even-sized florets, removing the tough stem. Try to keep the pieces about the same size to ensure even cooking.
  3. Season the cauliflower:
    • In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Make sure the florets are well-covered with the oil and seasonings.
  4. Roast the cauliflower:
    • Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on a baking sheet. For extra crispiness, make sure the florets aren’t overcrowded; give them enough space to roast evenly.
    • Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  5. Optional Parmesan:
    • If you’re using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the cauliflower in the last 5 minutes of roasting for a cheesy, crispy finish.
  6. Serve:
    • Once roasted, remove the cauliflower from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired. Serve immediately!

Tips:

  • For extra crispiness: You can also use a light dusting of cornstarch on the cauliflower before roasting for an even crispier texture.
  • Spice it up: Add a pinch of chili flakes or cayenne pepper if you like a bit of heat.
  • Flavor variations: Feel free to experiment with other seasonings like turmeric, curry powder, or lemon zest for different flavor profiles.
