Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Crispy Fried Chicken Wings & Fries—perfect for game day, parties, or just satisfying a craving!


🍗 Crispy Fried Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split at joints, tips removed)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (extra crispiness)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut oil)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate Wings:
    • In a bowl, mix buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
    • Add the wings, toss to coat, and marinate at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).
  2. Prepare Coating:
    • In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Coat & Fry:
    • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
    • Remove wings from marinade, let excess drip off, then dredge in the flour mix.
    • Fry in batches 8–10 minutes until golden brown and internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).
    • Drain on a wire rack or paper towels.

🍟 Crispy French Fries

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • Cold water
  • Salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:
    • Peel and cut into 1/4-inch sticks.
    • Soak in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  2. First Fry (Blanching):
    • Heat oil to 300°F (150°C).
    • Pat potatoes dry and fry in batches for 3–4 minutes (they should be pale and soft, not brown).
    • Remove and let cool.
  3. Second Fry (Crisping):
    • Increase oil temp to 375°F (190°C).
    • Fry potatoes again until golden brown and crispy (2–3 minutes).
    • Drain and salt immediately.

🥫 Serving Suggestions:

  • Toss wings in buffalo, BBQ, or honey garlic sauce.
  • Serve fries with ketchup, ranch, or aioli.
  • Add pickles, coleslaw, or a cold beer to complete the meal.
