Here’s a simple and delicious Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices recipe that gives you golden, crunchy potato rounds with minimal oil:


🥔 Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary or parsley), grated parmesan, chili flakes


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes

    • Wash and optionally peel the potatoes.

    • Slice them evenly into ⅛–¼ inch thick rounds using a knife or mandoline for consistency.

  2. Soak (Optional but recommended)

    • Place slices in a bowl of cold water for at least 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them crisp up.

    • Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel or paper towels.

  3. Season

    • Toss the slices in olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    • Make sure they are evenly coated.

  4. Preheat the Air Fryer (if your model requires it)

    • Set to 375°F (190°C).

  5. Air Fry

    • Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to work in batches).

    • Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping or shaking halfway through.

    • Watch closely during the last few minutes—thin slices can crisp quickly!

  6. Serve

    • Sprinkle with extra salt or herbs while hot.

    • Serve as a snack, side dish, or with your favorite dip (like ranch, aioli, or spicy ketchup).


🔁 Variations:

  • Cheesy: Sprinkle shredded cheese in the last 2 minutes.

  • Spicy: Add chili powder or cayenne.

  • Herby: Add rosemary or thyme before cooking for an earthy flavor.
