🍖 Cracker Barrel Meatloaf Copycat Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Meatloaf:

1½ lbs (680g) ground beef (80/20 is ideal)

1 cup crushed Ritz crackers (about 25 crackers)

½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
-
¼ cup chopped onion
-
¼ cup chopped green bell pepper (optional but traditional)

2 large eggs
-
½ cup milk
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
For the Glaze:

½ cup ketchup
-
2 tbsp brown sugar
-
1 tsp yellow mustard
🔪 Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix the meatloaf:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, crushed crackers, cheese, onion, bell pepper, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined — don’t overwork it. -
Shape:
Form into a loaf shape and place in the loaf pan or on a baking sheet. -
Bake (first stage):
Bake for 30 minutes. -
Make the glaze:
Stir together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. -
Glaze & Bake again:
After 30 minutes, spoon glaze evenly over the meatloaf. Return to oven and bake for another 25–30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). -
Rest & Serve:
Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
