🦀🦐 Crabby Shrimp Garlic Bread Bombs

🔥 Imagine This:

Soft rolls stuffed with a rich, cheesy crab-and-shrimp mixture, brushed with garlic butter, then baked until golden and bubbly. Perfect for game day, holidays, or just because you’re feeling fancy.

📝 Ingredients (Makes 12 Bombs)

For the Seafood Filling:

  • 4 oz cooked shrimp, chopped

  • 4 oz lump crab meat (or imitation crab, finely chopped)

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar

  • 2 tbsp mayo

  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp Old Bay or Cajun seasoning

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • Squeeze of lemon juice (optional)

For the Bread:

  • 1 can (12 count) refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands Jr)
or use pizza dough cut into 12 equal pieces

For Garlic Butter:

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Optional: pinch of salt & grated Parmesan for topping

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a muffin tin (for rounder bombs).

2. Make the Filling

  • In a bowl, combine:

    • Cream cheese, mayo, mozzarella, shrimp, crab, garlic, green onion, seasoning, and lemon juice.

  • Mix until creamy and well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning.

3. Assemble the Bombs

  • Flatten each biscuit/piece of dough into a 3–4 inch circle.

  • Spoon about 1 heaping tablespoon of seafood filling into the center.

  • Bring the edges up and pinch to seal tightly.

  • Place seam-side down on baking sheet or in muffin tin.

4. Brush with Garlic Butter

  • Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley.

  • Brush generously over each bomb. (Reserve a bit for after baking, if you like.)

  • Sprinkle with Parmesan if using.

5. Bake

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

  • Optional: Broil for 1 minute at the end for extra crisp tops.

6. Finish & Serve

  • Brush with any remaining garlic butter.

  • Let cool slightly before serving (filling will be hot!).

  • Serve with lemon wedges or a spicy aioli/dipping sauce.

🧄 Variations

  • Make it Spicy: Add a dash of hot sauce or minced jalapeño to the filling.

  • Cheesy Top: Add shredded cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking.

  • Mini Version: Use smaller dough pieces for bite-sized bombs (party platter-style).
