Coffee & Vinegar: When Does It Make Sense?
-
Cleaning Your Coffee Maker
The most common use — white vinegar + water run through your coffee maker to clean mineral build-up. Definitely don’t drink that brew, though. -
Apple Cider Vinegar + Coffee (ACV Coffee)
Some health enthusiasts mix ACV with coffee (usually cold brew) for a supposed metabolism or gut boost. It’s tangy, acidic, and not for everyone.-
Try This:
Mix 1 tsp apple cider vinegar into a glass of cold brew with ice and a bit of honey or lemon. Stir well.
(Hot coffee + vinegar can taste rough.)

Coffee Shrub (in Cocktails)
A “shrub” is a tangy syrup made with vinegar, sugar, and flavoring. Some cocktail recipes use a coffee shrub for a sweet-acidic twist.
