Here’s a sweet and nostalgic dessert recipe for Classic Cherry Delight — a creamy, layered no-bake treat featuring a graham cracker crust, fluffy cream cheese filling, and sweet cherry pie topping. It’s easy, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for potlucks or holidays!


🍒 Classic Cherry Delight

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip (or 1 cup whipped cream)

For the Topping:

  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling


Instructions:

  1. Make the Crust:

    • Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly combined.

    • Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×9 or 9×13-inch dish (thinner layer in a 13×9).

    • Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes to set (or bake at 350°F for 8 minutes for a firmer crust, then cool).

  2. Make the Cream Cheese Layer:

    • Beat cream cheese until smooth.

    • Add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating until fluffy.

    • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until fully incorporated.

  3. Assemble:

    • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.

    • Top with cherry pie filling and gently spread to cover.

  4. Chill:

    • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let it set completely.

  5. Serve:

    • Slice and serve chilled. Garnish with whipped cream or sliced almonds if desired.


✅ Tips:

  • Use a hand mixer for a super smooth cream cheese layer.

  • Try different toppings like blueberry, strawberry, or lemon pie filling for variety.

  • Want it richer? Use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip.
