Here’s a rich and flavorful recipe for Cinnamon Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread — a Southern-style quick bread that’s buttery, nutty, and full of warm cinnamon goodness. Perfect for the holidays or a cozy treat with coffee.


🥮 Cinnamon Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted if desired)


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan (or two smaller loaf pans).

  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and oil until combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla.

  3. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  4. Combine everything: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir just until combined (don’t overmix). Fold in the chopped pecans.

  5. Pour & bake: Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top.

  6. Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. (Check around the 50-minute mark to avoid overbaking.)

  7. Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.


✨ Optional Cinnamon Sugar Topping (Before Baking):

Mix 2 tbsp sugar with 1/2 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle on top of the batter before baking for a crisp, sweet crust.


🍞 Tips:

  • This bread is super moist and gets better the next day.

  • Wrap tightly in foil or plastic wrap once cooled to keep it fresh.

  • Freezes well for up to 3 months.
